Edwin Nicolás Serrano was born in San Pedro Sula, Cortés, Honduras, and from a young age, he showed an inclination towards engineering and technology. His education began at the Instituto Técnico en Electricidad y Electrónica (ITEE), where he graduated as an Electrical Technician in 1998, and later pursued Industrial Engineering at the Universidad Privada de San Pedro Sula in 2000.

In 2001, an unexpected setback led Edwin to emigrate to the United States in search of better opportunities. He began working in home remodeling as a contractor.

Edwin’s desire to improve his situation and his constant pursuit of professional growth drove him to launch his own Mobile Car Wash business in 2008. This project was his first major venture in the U.S., focused on providing specialized car, yacht, and boat washing services.

The Mobile Car Wash business was a success for four years, allowing Edwin to gain the confidence needed to explore new opportunities in a more technical field.

Following the advice of a close friend, Edwin decided to train as an HVAC Technician due to the high demand for such services in Florida.

After obtaining his certification, he met the manager of an air conditioning company who offered him a job opportunity. He worked at that company for a year and later joined several major companies, including Cool Air USA and USA Air Conditioning, where he honed his skills and gained experience as a technician and salesperson.

The accumulated experience and the need for a better work-life balance led Edwin to work as an independent contractor, collaborating in sales with Honest AC and eventually forming a partnership with Octagon Air Conditioning. This stage was crucial in preparing for the next big step: founding his own company.

Edwin’s journey was full of challenges, from emigrating to a new country to changing careers and adapting to a highly competitive market. The 2008 recession was one of the biggest challenges, but also an opportunity to reinvent himself and grow.

With a clear vision and a well-honed set of skills, after two years of study and preparation, Edwin obtained his HVAC contractor’s license and founded Coolmaxair, LLC. This project, dedicated in honor of his father Maximiliano, reflects Edwin’s values: hard work, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to quality. The company promotes a culture of respect, integrity, and excellence.

Today, Coolmaxair, LLC is a recognized company in the HVAC sector in Florida, known for its reliability and excellence in service.
